How fresh is your seafood?

Our own commercial trawler fleet lands fish within 24–48 hours of catch. Prawns are snap-frozen at sea or iced within hours. Every delivery order is packed the morning of delivery in insulated boxes with gel packs and transported in temperature-controlled vehicles: chilled product at 0–4°C, frozen at –18°C or colder.

Pre-order 10–14 days ahead for Christmas, New Year and Lunar New Year, and 5–7 days ahead for Easter and Mother's Day. Premium lines such as green prawns, Moreton Bay bug tails, whole snapper, live mud crab, live rock lobster, and sashimi-grade tuna sell out in the final 5 days before each holiday.

Which fish are low-mercury and safe for toddlers?

Per FSANZ (Food Standards Australia New Zealand) guidance, low-mercury fish safe for toddlers and young children include flathead, whiting, snapper, bream, barramundi and Tasmanian Atlantic salmon. Limit high-mercury species such as shark (flake), swordfish, orange roughy, marlin and large mackerel to no more than once per fortnight.

Seafood is transported in the same cold chain as Gold Coast deliveries.
